Discussion #8 reference Chpt 13 in the textbook. What does the textbook detail
as the precautions needed to take as a bystander who sees someone having a
cardiac arrest, stroke or respiratory distress event, specifically go to the Connect
Activity on pg 308-309 and discuss the signs that would be most apparent. Make
sure to include the anatomy of the cardiovascular system and what is being
affected when these medical conditions occur and what risk factors for
cardiovascular disease are the most common. What is the "good Samaritan law"?
How are the responsibilities different for a medical provider than for a random
bystander? Discuss basic life saving techniques/protocols, should this be
mandatory for all medical providers to know (to include medical assistants, nurses,
mental health personnel)? How could we as a society improve general population
knowledge about responding to cardiac arrests/strokes/ respiratory distress as
well as ways to improve our overall wellness? (minimum of 300 words) due
