Think about how you would describe your last big accomplishment in school, sports, or some other activity. Now consider how you would tell your whole life story. Some things are better explained in writing — through an email or a letter, for example — while others are easier to explain in person. How does what you have to tell affect how you tell it?

Answer: If you are talking about something you did as being heroic persay, you are going to really stretch how heroic you were. Or if the story is sad, you might add details that are sad. Or if by chance someone has wronged you, you might use choice words that would "make that person feel bad."

My last great achievement would be told in a linear narrative where I would explain how it happened and how important it was in my life. I would also talk about the difficulties and everything that prevented me from achieving this achievement and the ways I found to overcome these difficulties and achieve this great achievement.

I would tell this story through an email, because it lets you send the story more easily, as well as allowing reading to be done more easily. In addition, emails can be done less formally than a letter.
