A quokka is an herbivore and a member of the macropod family found mainly in Australia. Females have a pouch on their belly for babies. They look like a cross between a bear and a kangaroo. Many people love this animal because they look like they are always smiling. The population of quokkas is decreasing because of predators, habitat loss, and fires.
