      United States Pop: 3.19 X [tex] 10^{8} [/tex]

b.) And to find about how many times larger the population of the U.S. is than Columbus, Ohio, I divided the U.S. pop by the Columbus pop and got the answer: 387.6. 

So, the closest whole number would be 388 times larger.
