Can you find the sum [5.5 + (-2.3)] + (-5.5 + 2.3) without performing any additions? EXPLAIN

The answer is 0
because
after rearranging it
5.5-5.5+2.3-2.3
=0+0
=0

First of all, you could find the sum of [5.5 + (-2.3)] + (-5.5 + 2.3), but not without the addition signs.

So the answer is no, you cannot find the sum of this equation without performing any additions.

Why?

Because there are addition signs in this problem already. It wouldn't make sense to not add 'em!
