"Auditory cortex is to the temporal lobe as visual cortex is to the occipial lobe."
The auditory cortex is part of the temporal lobes. There is a variation of this area that's great from individual to individual, but it is known that there are individual cells or group of cells that get excited by specific sounds at specific frequencies.
The occipital lobe is the one that has most of the visual cortex in the brain. A lesion on one of the occipital lobes may lead to the loss of one visual field or if the lesion is general it may lead to blindness due to missing spots in the vision, and possible visual hallucinations.
