Cause one, unfair treatment by the British.
Cause two, people wanted to be independent and didn't want these unfair laws/taxes (stamp act)
Cause three, how Britain ruled them, they allowed soldiers just to come in and ruin homes.
Cause four, Americans could be off on their own and survive, they could do better without the unfair taxing and acts of the British
