Jon Krakauer’s life is very similar to Chris McCandless’s. They both have decided to go out into the wilds of Alaska at a young age. They also have a similar relationship with their fathers. McCandless told Krakauer that he got disappointed with his father. He distanced himself from his father and refused to accept his father’s financial support.
