Some political scientists believe
"issue networks" are more prevalent than "iron triangles"
because there is an alliance of various interest groups and individuals who
unite in order to promote a single issue or agenda in a way that influences the
government policy. Issue networks can be either international or domestic in range
reliant on their shared goal.
